Pikeland Pups The Begining
The Broyles
I want to give you a little information about us. I have always had shelties as pets. So it would be easy for me to say that I have been associated with the sheltie a long time. My husband a little less but it has not been till now 2005 to be exact that we have begun our breeding program. My first sheltie was a male sable and white we purchased about 1992. He was extremely smart, loyal and loved to be in the middle of every thing to due with our family. AJ was his name. My next sheltie was a female sable and white very tiny and petite. She was basically my dog, don't get me wrong she loved my husband and little girl but she was my girl. We had her till she passed away in 2005. 12 years we had her and let me tell you I cried for about 2 weeks on and off. I miss her still. Anyway, What made me stop crying? We purchased 2 shelties. During this phase it was hard to find a sheltie breeder in our area. So once I found a breeder my husband and I decided we wanted to start our own small breeding program. I also along the way, have found i love to do agility and JWW with my shelties, so i am currently working toward training and titling my pack. We love the sport, travel, excitment and meeting others that it brings. Be sure to check out my event and brags page for updates. I don't think I can be without my shelties . So there you have it. We plan to remain a small program, title our dogs in AKC agility, JWW events and continue to look forward to breed the best possible puppies we can to meet our goals. AKC Shetland Sheepdog standards is the gold standard what we all try so hard to aim for and will continue to aim for with correct temperment and structure . We live in a small community. In the country so to speak. Not hard to find. We are a family of 5, a girl and 2 boys. We love animals of all kinds (but me I hate snakes). In addition to our 8 shelties we have a beagle mix dog and 1 cats. thanks for visiting.
